What is
Faction Facts?
Faction Facts (formerly Factionizer) is pretty comprehensive and well-organized compilation of any Wrath of the Lich King faction's rewards. As you will see further down, the rewards are grouped first by faction, then by type/role (DPS, Spellcaster, Tank). You will also notice that all of the items have tags after them, if they are in the Faction section - I'll explain what and how to use those in a moment.
Tag Clarifications
- The tag "DPS" refers to "Physical DPS" and was shortened for simplicity.
- The tag "Spellcaster" refers to both "Spellcaster DPS and Healers". Both roles use very similar stats now, so I found distinction between them unnecessary complication.
- Items tagged with "Shield" are included in the "Weapons" sections under the Rewards by Role at the end. Shields are weapons!
- Items tagged with "PvP" are items that have Resilience on them. Some of the other items could possible be used for PvP as well, but they won't be tagged.
- Recipes for crafting professions have tags as well. The tags refer to the item being crafted, not the actual pattern, of course.
- (Almost) No gear is tagged for "Leather, Tank". Bear Druids should look for "Leather, DPS" as the itemization is mostly the same.
How to Use the Tags?
This unfortunately is only a forum topic, which means that it doesn't allow as much flexibility as the Search-and-Filter function of the Database. You are encouraged to use that one as well.
Here is how to find the items you need:
- You can check any Northrend faction you are Friendly or higher with. The tags on the side of the items allow quick reference as to what role the item is best for.
- You can check the Rewards by Role section at the end. Locate the role and type of armor you wish to search for and browse through the items. The faction and its required reputation standing are noted in parenthesis - the link will take you to the faction's section in this guide, not the actual faction page.
- You can search for specific item types that fulfill a certain role through your browser's Search/Find function. Open the Search menu, and type the Item Slot, Armor Type, and Role of the item you are looking for, separate with commas. For example, a search for Plate DPS Helms would look like:
Head, Plate, DPS
Note that items that fit two roles equally well (e.g. Spellcaster, DPS) like the Oracles/Frenzyheart trinkets might not be displayed.
Tags You Can Use
This list is missing some tags, because they barely have 1-2 items assigned to them (e.g. "
Fishing Pole"), or because they are easy enough to figure out (e.g. "
Tabard").

Special Reputation Gains
Frenzyheart Tribe and
The OraclesThere are three ways to gain reputation with either faction:
- You have never quested for them.
Start and complete the chain starting with The Part-time Hunter. At the end you will face a Lich, and during the encounter, you will kill either Zepik (choosing The Oracles), or Jaloot (choosing Frenzyheart Tribe). You will become Honored with your chosen faction after turning a quest given by the alive NPC at the end of the encounter. - You have already chosen faction.
You will have 3 daily quests per day from now on. - You want to switch factions.
Kill Artrius the Heartless again, and leave the desired NPC alive. You will begin at Honored with the faction you spared.
Alliance Vanguard and
Horde ExpeditionBoth factions gain "spillover" reputation from their sub-factions, as well as any quests and daily quests listed under their own sections. Any reputation awarded to any of the sub-factions will give half its amount to the main faction. Here is a quick reference list with the sub-factional quests:

Ah-hah! It has been completed, after 5 months of doing nothing!
Muahahahaha!
I have added a ton of stuff, edited two tons, and hopefully improved a lot more. Overall, it should be fairly easy to navigate and use (with a few quirks, but it's a forum post, not a website...).
Yes, I know the Tags List might not be looking properly. It's different on every browser, every version... I am using Firefox 3.5 on default font settings, so if you are too, you should be fine. If not, there isn't really anything I can (or am willing) to do - you can go without it just as easily.
Feedback, as usually is appreciated.
P.S. I have not included anything related to the Argent Tournament. You can find the information in the blog, and I will have another one ready with the 3.2 updates. Granted, it won't look as pretty as this one, but it'll suffice.
P.S. Probably almost a half of this actually belongs to
MasterOfDisguise or
Neutronimity, and niceness says I should give them some credit.

Perhaps this is in another thread, I don't know, but it might also be helpful to add any beginner quests that are needed to reach friendly reputation so players can get the faction's tabard.
That would be babysitting you, people :P
I am technically supposed to be working on the faction pages over at (removed), and they kind of have what you want. Quick faction information, but also the main zones where you can find representatives of certain factions. The other option is to use my
Guide to dailies and figure out a way to get your rep up.
