At the time of posting, neither this quest nor the NPC that starts it is available. Possibly a quest for the retaking of Gnomeregan when 4.0 is released.

Good news, everybody! A number of the quests for Operation Gnomeregan count towards Loremaster of the Eastern Kingdoms and 3000 Quests Completed!

it seems that if your under 80 this is where it ends for you. I did this as a 52 shammy got the Gnomeregan pride item and that was it.

Simply click on the Helicopter to the left after accepting this quest. Wait for the event to respawn and talk to Mekkatorque. If he's not there, just wait a few minutes.

The helicopter that you use for the vent quest is the one you use to do this. Took me a few to find it. Mostly because the number of people there. LoL.

Don't fight in the tunnel. Quest bugs out and everyone has to wait for it to reset.

Start by picking up the quest A Few Good Gnomes from High Tinker Mekkatorque in Tinker Town, Ironforge.

Part of this quest chain can be completed at level 1. The final two quests, which involve retaking the surface of Gnomeregan, require level 75. Turning in the final quest grants the achievement Operation: Gnomeregan, which is listed as a Feat of Strength.

The full quest chain is:

A Few Good Gnomes
Basic Orders
In and Out
One Step Forward...
Press Fire
Vent Horizon
Prepping the Speech
Words for Delivery (1)

Going forward requires level 75:

Words for Delivery (2)
Operation: Gnomeregan

If the event has started and you didn't see Mekko with a ? right when you got off the helicopter, don't bother with the event, you won't get the quest hand in at the end. Just wait for it to restart - better to do it once properly than 3 times over :O

As other's have mentioned, do NOT go in the tunnel and pass the Trogg Boss - this will bug the quest for some.

Aside from that, hang back and enjoy!

Edit - now on my 4th attempt due to bugging *sigh*

Am i missing the point here? I'm standing next to his assistant (the chick gnome on the mechanostrider) who is telling me to wait there... but i must've been waiting 15 minutes and nothing is happening? There's no-one else around me, and no High Tinker with a yellow ? on his head there to greet me, have i done something wrong?
