Easily soloable? By whom? An OP pally? Not by this mage, that's for sure. All he DID was Devastating Arc. Constantly. Even when I Blinked, I couldn't get behind him fast enough and I never had time to get off a single cast. Pretty annoying quest. If it weren't for a random nelf hunter I couldn't have completed this myself.

Well, it is not an easy fight, because you have to be constantly on the move, dodging his attack. It is possible, though. Because once he starts casting, he does not move and you can slip behind him.

I died the first time and killed him on the second try.

Unfortunately, his attack cannot be interrupted.

Easily soloable by any class. He can be stunned, rooted, silenced and probably more. He jumps around randomly from time to time, with no apparent reason.
Devastating Arc only does damage in a 180* angle in front of him for about 150k. Even if it hits, it's not lethal.

He sometimes turns his back to you before casting Devastating Arc... which kind of defeats the purpose of his attack... yeah.

Its possible to kite him to the road that circles around Whitepetal Lake, there will be some Golden Lotus Outriders that can help you finish him off.

Here is how i killed him as a Ret pally , i made sure the whole flight that i was behind him , practically by the tip of his tail , i didn't worry about his cast , i died three times trying to avoid the damage by running to get behind him ! then i decided to just stay on his "behind" the best way is to always be behind him , you will never get any damage from his main ability.

Hum. Something is a bit off. On my affliction warlock, I just send in my Void Lord (Grimoire of Suprememacy) and summon the Terrorguard. Other than having to reposition myself a couple of times, I just drain drain and drain. The Voidlord seems to be 100% immuned to his devastation cast.

It's real easy if you know getting behind him all the time... then he doesnt do you any damage at all. Yes and you dont have a lot of time to cast longer spells and stay close to him.. if you're ranged and you play far from away then you will have a problem to ge behind him, just stick with him, also for a mage shouldnt be a problem then

Easily solo-able as a mage. Just kite him down to the road around whitepetal lake and the NPC's will help you finish him off. Just took 2 blinks and one frostnova.

Oh, the crazy things we're asked to do. Like kill a wolf because a guy can't think of a name.

And stay behind him! If you're a ranged character, yes, this will mean being really close to him all the time.

This is actually quite an annoying quest as he constantly casts Devastating Arc. On the plus side, it's predictable and he doesn't do anything else. Just make sure you don't get hit and keep damaging him, he'll eventually fall. Was able to solo as a mage.

Not an easy fight (I died once), but doable for a shadow priest. I blew most of my cooldowns, but hey, I survived.

I'm not sure if it was easier because i did it as a fresh 90 cat form druid (in mostly quest greens, I don't play him that often) or if it was something from 5.3 that made it easier. he spent a lot of time jumping around and would pause before turning toward me.. as long as i kept moving and attacking, he was tedious not difficult.

This monster, while potentially deadly, is actually very easy! It's only attack is devasting arc which does 120000 damage. The only time you even have to move when fighting this monster is when it's about to cast it's only attack move. You'll already be facing him when he raises his head, that is your cue to move behind him (the shortest distance out of his area of attack.) So when he does this just move forward turn and continue to attack him.

For all hunters; it is confirmed that Cracklefang is a tamable mob, but he is also one lvl 91 so technically, he is currently untamable due to his level until the next xpac. It is unknown whether or not he keeps the sword in his mouth upon being tamed, and due to the fact Golden Pagoda and Whitepetal Lake daily hubs will be removed in the next patch, there is a chance Cracklefang, along with his quest, will be gone come 5.4. unless he is converted into one of the rare elites that will be the main way to get Golden Lotus reputation next patch.
