Waited about a half hour for the captain and/or his boat to show up..... Nothing. Anyone else having this same problem? I'm guessing a bug.

Ok, in relation to the ship. I ran up and down the area indicated. I waited and waited then I asked in guild chat and someone told me there was a boat (which I couldn't see). Right at that moment someone ran past me, jumped off the edge of the warf into thin air and disappeared.

If you can't see the boat my suggestion is relog... relogging is the answer to the meaning of life. I've added a screen shot of the boat so you know what you're looking for.

Re-logging kind of worked for me. Except the ship seemingly disappears and reappears based on where i am standing. I was right at the dock and I saw it. As soon as I tried to step on the boat, it vanished and I fell in the water.

I couldn't see a ship at first but then I saw it. It was phasing in and out for a sec or two.
But at the moment it moved it became right-phased.

Name of the captain is Beastcaller Tuk'wa.
You can set "/npcscan add 69201 Bloody Captain"
so u can catch the docked ship.

This has to have a bugfix in the works, but here is what I've found for people who want to get it done before then. The ship suffers from pretty severe phasing issues. It only appeared for a few seconds for me as it pulled away from the dock, at which point it disappeared again. The window for the ship actually appearing was so small that you may have missed it just by alt-tabbing to look it up. Once the ship leaves the dock it stops at about 70,80 (East of Violet Rise) and does a siege attack. The ship doesn't have a ledge low enough to jump onto from the water. There was a jutting rock nearby, but I wasn't able to climb it to try my glider cloak.

The ship stayed there in the water for exactly 10 minutes and then disappeared without warning. I wasn't able to find it elsewhere in the water, so I headed back to the dock. Another 10 minutes after it vanished, it appeared back at the dock for the same short window as it pulled up. While it's sitting at the dock, it actually seems to phase out, only appearing again for the few seconds as it pulls away.

TL;DR, the ship appears to make its round in about 20 minutes, but it was only in phase for me for the few seconds when it was pulling into or out of the dock. Re-logging to try to phase it didn't seem to do anything. The mob you need has a very quick 'quest mob' respawn time, so don't panic if someone gets him before you. Just don't jump off the ship! Good luck, and let's hope for a quick fix! :P

UPDATE: As of the April 4 2013 hotfix, this quest has been removed from the daily quest rotation until the ship can be fixed. You should no longer be able to receive it for the moment.

The boat will be visible in spirit form while you're dead. If you die at the docks, then rez while the boat is visible you can get onto it before it phases out. Once you're on the boat it won't disappear. Hope this helps. The Boat Captain, Arcweaver Uzan is to the immediate left after you enter the boat from the plank. He paths through the boat. If you run up the ramp on the right side, you'll find the last scroll, For Council and King, needed for The Zandalari Prophecy. Best of luck!

Odd thing is if you look at where the ship is supposed to be you can see the rain dripping off of thin air, almost like it's invisible.

Ship still disappeared for me even in ghost form, however I found that it would appear briefly if I stood there long enough, once aboard it was fine, then it was gone again as soon as I stepped back off.

Wierder still after I hopped off, every 5-10 seconds I would see it appear, start sailing away, then disappear again.

I went to relog just now and got a random patch update, so they may have hotfixed this.

Just close out of WoW and sign back in, it should be up now. It was for me.

Seeing 20 players standing on the wall looking confused and no ship in sight I guessed there was a bug. Re-logged and there she was! Jump aboard and do your stuff. Use your Kirin Tor Beacon to get back to the Kirin Tor for the hand in.

The trick to boarding the boat (prior to the immanent hotfix) is to run as fast as you can off dock 9 and 1/2 and believe as hard as you can.

My friend decided to stay on the ship for me when I missed it and he got on it. The ship actually makes a full circle around the island. It stops at the two faction bases for a while and then moves again.

When the ship is about to come near the dock the phasing changes. Usually it does a looping of it leaving and when you stand right next to it nothing happens. But when the ship is close you can see it blink in and out next to the dock. I jumped on it during the third blink and got on it.

I'm guessing that this quest is no longer available on servers that have completed the Isle of Thunder progression (aka all of them). That's a damn shame - it would be nice to get a quest other than the damn jumping platforms to wrap up the dailies once in awhile.
