Your TomTom directions/coordinates are messed up, other than that, good guide.

The Strange Seed can be located close to the Everbloom portal above Stormwind City, at 42 75 on the Eastern Kingdoms map.

Give a zone, give coordinates in that zone. But constantly interchanging from continent, to zone, to local directions.. it's just complicated for nothing.

Not sure why, but Grimmy wasn't there when I flew in. Also, "The Forbidding Sea" zone/map text was green, like I was in a faction capital. This was right around the time of reset (not sure if it was a bug?), so I logged out and back in and he was there as well as the map/text going back to white.

Most of the traveling takes place in the Eastern Kingdoms, so this is best suited to Alliance players.

NOTE: Not sure if this was a bug for me (like HELL I'm going to test this again!) but I was unable to get the first clue to appear for a different character besides the one who had captured Baa'l. I seemed to be locked in.

Assuming you're a lazy person like me who didn't get Draenor flying and who also didn't do this on a mage, the main thing you'll want to do is conserve your hearthstones. If you're quick about your business, it'll be a pain to wait on them every time to finish cooling down. There's so much back and forth between Draenor and Outland that it isn't worth it to use them unless you'll be staying in one or the other for long enough.
Best classes: Mage (portals), Druid (dreamwalk). Mage portals are great for traversing between continents and worlds, but dreamwalk makes crossing the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor an absolute breeze. Since you have three hearthstones at your disposal (regular, Garrison, and Dalaran), as long as you're wise about when you use them, a druid could easily nail this quest in no time flat... Maybe with a little help from a mage to get between Draenor and Outland.

Great tools:

Hearthstone: Set this to the Shrine in Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
Garrison: Mage tower with portals to Spires of Arak/Shadowmoon Valley, Stables
Ever-Shifting Mirror: Gives you no-cooldown teleportation between Draenor and Outland. This is great if you skipped Draenor flying. Get it from Burning Crusade Timewalking.
Aviana's Feather: Aviana's feather increases your movement speed by 614% while flying--better than flying mounts. Get it from a Garrison Inn mission in Skyreach.
Glowing mog weapons: Weapons that cast actual light (Such as the staff Soulkeeper, the mace Grayson's Torch, several wands, off hand lanterns, etc) can help finding items in dark areas and navigating dark-textured geometry. The light cast on the ground makes the floor's shape more apparent.
FLIP ZIDORMI: In the Blasted Lands, if you try to fly through the Dark Portal while it's red, it sometimes does nothing. Talk to Zidormi, ask to see the zone's past. When the portal is green, fly through. You can get to Ashran. Remember this!

Starting out, the first few between Draenor and Outland are not great without wasting your hearthstones a lot. Use the Ever-Shifting Mirror if you have it. It saves a ton of time. Regardless:

Alliance Garrison: Fly to Akeeta's Hovel, use Aviana's Feather.
Horde Garrison: Build a spirit lodge and at least one portal for Spires of Arak. Consider it required!

One error in this, Rukhmar is a female, so it should be "... declaring he is the reincarnation of Rukhmar herself"

In clue 6, the shadowmoon orcs did not create the dark star. K'ara became the "dark star" because of other reasons, reasons completely unrelated to the Shadowmoon orcs.

Another error is in clue 10, Medivh is not dead. His mother brought him back just before the events of the third war and we even saw him in Legion at the end of the Return to Karazhan dungeon. Whoever wrote the little lore sections of his guide clearly does not know the lore.

I turned back time to access that Arathi Highlands part of the quest, when I tried to use the BfA portal to Stormgarde (Alliance Arathi Highlands town) i got stuck under ground and had to report the character as stuck via an alt.

Luckily they have a built in tool for this via alts under the 'Open Ticket' option but try not to make the same mistake that I did.

The one thing I would like detail on, if at all possible, is *what* the outfit is supposed to represent.

After talking to Grimmy, equip the Windwool Hood, Deathsilk Shoulders, Netherweave Tunic, Frostwoven Leggings.

What are these things in reference to? I understand it's not important, as such, but I enjoy following the trail of breadcrumbs, and would very much love to know where this one came from!

The waypoint command for the Strange Seed doesn't match the one in the description and sends me all the way off the Lordaeron coast.

I'm at the last part with Grimmy. Seems like /cheer in Zul drak doesn't seem to work and I have no idea what I did wrong. Running the script it says true true false true and no matter how may times i've tried, it stays this way. Anyone any idea?

Turtle Bringer could refer to how the goblins mounted cabins on giant sea turtles, providing the Horde with submarines during the Second War. The Fuselight goblins are members of the Steamwheedle Cartel like those that joined Orgrim's Horde.
Granted, Chronicle doesn't include this, but only just as it speaks of how the goblins helped build the Horde's navy.

Using the Pet Dungeon teleporter Manaproof in Dalaran can save you some time to get to Eastern Kingdoms.

I dont't know if anyone else had this problem, but if you're in BFA Arathi he won't be there, you have to talk to the zone time traveller dude to see it in original state first.

The 'Odd Cup' is pretty easy to spot, but just in case; if you've taken Rulkan as a follower then she won't appear next to the campfire as shown in the guide's pic.

This might be a non-issue for most but if you intended to do this part on an alt after you obtained Baa'l than you will NOT be able to see the orbs. You have to either do this on the original character you when through the items to obtain Baa'l or run through the same steps with the alt before the orbs show up.

The "Turtle Bringer" anagram perhaps references the game then the book. Goblins in Warcraft 2 turned Giant Turtles into Submarines in the game for Horde and is the most likely the reason. It's also the only Steamwheedle Cartel Goblin Town in the area that the Second War was fought.

Is there an explanation of how all these steps were determined, particularly the Grimmy stuff? For example:

How did they figure out those four pieces of crafted gear to wear?
How did they figure out which "enemy" NPCs to interact with while having which random items in their bags?
How did they know to click the potato 144 times and none of the other rotting veggies scattered about the farm?

I would love to know, as it all seems incredibly random. It strains belief that anyone could legitimately figure this stuff out. But hey, I guess that makes it all the more impressive.
