Incredible trinket, during raids I sometime break 3,000AP with this thing going on my rogue, macro it with bladeflurry and adrenaline rush and you'll see a huge increase in dps.

even now, in BC i would rate this trinket very highly.
As fury or a Rogue i would probally take this trinket over several.
it adds 725AP eventually. thats no small number to sneeze at. It just comes down to its cooldown on how useful it really is

If i read this correct. This trinket gives 65 Attack Power instantly, and then 65 more every 2 sec for 20 seconds, giving an overall Attack Power bonus of 715.

This is a very nice trinket, even post-BC.

This trinket is still pretty nuts. Your final +AP will be 715, which is HUGE! Excellent trinket, especially for rogues who kinda need to start up anyways with builders.

Please think (twice, if you need to) before rating a comment down and contradicting it. Archangel would be correct, final AP is 715.

"Increases attack power by 65..." so that's 65...
"..an additional 65 every 2 sec. Lasts 20 secs." so that's 10 ticks at 65 each, for an added 650 to the base 65

65 + 650 = 715 k?

It's actually Gom Jabbar and it's indeed a Dune reference. In Frank Herbert's Dune universe, Gom Jabbar is a device described as "The high-handed enemy; that specific poison needle tipped with meta-cyanide used by Bene Gesserit Proctors in the death-alternative test of human awareness."

It's originally from the Qu'ran, where it is used as "وم جبّار qawm jabbār", or literally "a powerful people".

This is a really nice trinket that would still be useful in BC content. Some awesome trinkets drop from AQ40 which can quite easily be puged by well-geared 70s

~~Besides that, this trinket grants 715 attack power at the 20th second, that's more than the best trinkets recieved in WotlK that grants attack power on a USE effect~~. This trinket did certainly serve some rogues well in pre-tbc! :D

EDIT: after recieving this baby on my death knight http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Ravencrest&n=Bigwanq I've found out, the buff only grants 65 attack power, but stacks the buff every 2 second, granting these stats:

Activate 0-2 sec: 65AP
2-4 sec: 130AP
4-6 sec: 195AP
6-8 sec: 260AP
8-10 sec: 325AP
10-12 sec: 390AP
12-14 sec: 455AP
14-16 sec: 520AP
16-18 sec: 585AP
18-20 sec: 650AP
20 sec reached: 0 AP

The buff looks like the Rogues Instant Poison http://www.wowhead.com/?item=8928]!

It's an average of 357.5 AP for 20 seconds, or a static increase of 60 AP. Of course it could actually prove to be worth a little more if you can time your long CD abilities for the second half of the buff.

There are other instances of it in the Dune series, such as towards the beginning of the book where Paul meets the Reverend Mother, and I'm pretty sure there's talk of it in one of the prequels, but this is probably my favorite instance of it.

This is the best trinket for anyone who uses a weapon, the trinket gives 650 AP for it's last 2 seconds, meaning you must push out your last action for the best damage. This increases your attack power pretty fast, especially in PVP. I don't have this currently, so I can only say what I know, I have been killed by a rogue using this when I decided to stop my exp at 60, the rogue was like a damn Blood Death Knight, got backstabbed to 1/3'd of my hp in a second. The rest you might know what happened, but just saying, if you see someone with this buff, try to run away from them or they will have the tendency of hugging you to death.

Not only are the name of trinket, buff icon, and item icon a reference to dune, but the trinket itself happens to drop off of Ouro, a giant worm boss. The same worm skins are subject to another Dune reference in a quest in Terrokar Forest :)
