my cache had a
in it. The only slot where I had found a rare boe world drop.. this made me a little sad.
It would be nice to know if this mission is available once per week, or multiple times. I am going to assume once a week at the very least?
Ran this at 64% success because I had waited a few days to gear up some of my followers and was afraid the mission might despawn. Got a
Scales of Doom
and finally got to stop holding my breath. Hoping these missions are available weekly.
Alright, so I'm a bit confused on how the raid quests work. As per the developer post specifically about these, we're supposed to get a version of the quest that matches our current progression. I first proc'd my 655-level (645 follower requirement) quest on the 27th of November, and I didn't complete it till the 8th of December. After finishing the quest, I got ANOTHER Highmaul raid quest, 2 hours later. The thing is, between getting the first mission and second, I've cleared both normal and heroic Highmaul, yet I still received the normal version of the quest. Shouldn't I have gotten the heroic version of the mission? A friend of mine went and cleared 10 heroic bosses in random pugs, trying to coin a specific item. After doing so, he got his 2nd follower to 645 and procced the mission, and it was the mythic version. So yea, I'm pretty confused.
According to a post here
(unofficial, so I don't trust it 100%) the internal cooldown of the mission is around 2.5 weeks. I'm not sure how long this mission stays in your log, but I wouldn't wait for more than 3 to 4 days.
The tier of the Highmaul Cache depends on whether you've killed 15 bosses in a given difficulty. 15 Normal boss kills = Heroic Cache; 15 Heroic boss kills = Mythic Cache.
The Highmaul Raid missions unlock once you have 2+ ilevel 645 followers (make sure they're epic so they have multiple counters!), so plan accordingly!
EDIT: It seems like if you've already gotten a Normal/Heroic Cache this week and you happen to reach the 15 Normal/Heroic kills, the next tier cache mission will become available asap and you'd only get the highest tier of cache mission in the weeks to come.
First time I got this mission it failed with 93% and I still haven't gotten a new one more than one week later I wonder if it's not better to wait until you upgrade followers to have 100% since unofficial cd is 2.5 weeks and by that time if you raid you might not need the loot
Who knows, what this mission at the time despawned? because, this is a rare mission and despawn rules may vary for her.
Also, well i see, threat and type mission it's random. I think this based on what bosses proc in mission.
I had 2 followers at 655 ilvl for over a week (way past the required 645 to spawn this mission) and it never came up, as soon as I upgraded a third follower to 640 ilvl it spawned.
Maybe it was a bug, but if someone has trouble getting this mission to spawn, gear up another follower.
Failed today at 79% with 3 followers at 655 ilvl.
Pretty damn pissed, there goes Heroic gear down the toilet.. Oh well. Just goes to show, you can still lose at a higher percentage ;p
Currently babysitting a friends account/garrison.
He had one mission on december the 18th 2014 (might have gotten it on the 17th, not sure) and just got another on the 1st of january 2015.
That would decrease the cooldown to about 2 weeks.
Alright, it would appear that the internal cooldown for this mission is approximately 325 hours, or in other words, just under two weeks. It would also seem that the cooldown is independent of mission completion/failure, meaning that the next mission will spawn ~325 hours after the last mission spawned, regardless of time of completion.
So, in summary:
A new Highmaul raid mission spawns
Raid missions stack. E.g. if you haven't been online for a month, you should have 2 raid missions waiting for you.
The loot is upgraded to the next highest difficulty when you have defeated 15 bosses on the preceding difficulty. E.g. defeat 15 bosses in normal Highmaul to unlock heroic Highmaul loot.
So does anyone how long a mission will stay in your log before it despawns? That way I would know that if my projected success rate is marginal when I should just go ahead and give it a try rather than losing the opportunity altogether.
All the highmaul raid missions last for 335 hours and, based on my exp, have a respawn time of 2 week so you can complete one every other week.
The reward level (norm/heroic/mythic): you need 15 kills on a diifficulty to unlock the next one: once you have 2 followers with 645 ilvl (but ofc you need 3 to complete it anyway) you get the first step with normal (655 ilevel) reward; then based on your highmaul raid progression you get higher rewards:
15 normal kills -> hc reward mission (670ilvl)
15 heroic kills -> mythic reward mission (685ilvl)
I've received this mission for the 3rd time now, and it's actually quite disappointing that it doesn't at least give you a different item every time. But what can you do.
I'll also add that I have been receiving these missions at a rate of 15-17 days (so 2 to 2.5 weeks).
My first item was
반사된 불길의 팔보호구
. A Mythic with a gem socket.
Second Item was
. A Mythic Warforged with a bonus stat. But I failed to win the mission at 94%.
And the third was
반사된 불길의 팔보호구
. Just a Mythic.
EDIT: 21 Jan 2014 I have solved my fourth mission, with a
. Mythic with Unbreakable.
I have 1/7M complete, and I'm running with now two Mythic items from bosses I haven't downed yet. Bracers are from Ko'ragh, while the Sabatons and Greatbelt were from Brackenspore.
Does anyone know if the first higmual mission you get is always normal? Even if you have done 15normal/heroic kills before getting your 3 followers to 645?
edit: Can confirm the first mission you receive doesn't have to be normal, mine was mythic.
from Cache, had 73% succes chance. Just Mythic Warforged, dont know how to link Mythic War.
I'm trying to use the "autofill" function and I keep getting "Select a profile source first." error.
I'm up to date with the uploader I think and my toon is accurate on wowhead profiles. What am I missing?
While the chance at heroic loot makes you want to jump on this mission at <80%, the bitter sting of losing really hurts when you learn it takes over two weeks to get the mission again. Spend a few days taking your time to gear up any followers above 645 and keep working to find the optimal configuration that gives you the best chances. The Garrison Mission Manager Add on certainly helps with finding the right group to send. One of the posters here failed at 93%. I failed at 75%. (D*mnit, Millhouse!) The RNG gods are not kind with this one.
Today 2! highmaul (mythic) missions popped on my DK, the last highmaul mission i had was a few weeks ago.
Just upgraded my followers to 645 on my lock after getting my 16th Heroic kill... Got the normal cache. Talked to a Gm, apparently the system was changed to follow in BRF Mission's path, which means that you need 15+ Loot Eligible kills to get heroic/mythic cache. Just thought I'd let others who had just lvl'ed up their toons and farmed their 15 kills in a single lockout.
EDIT: Master plan Addon was also showing Mythic cache before i upgraded my followers!
i'm pretty sure you cannot get this or the blackrock foundry mission on characters below level 100 for anyone who was curious. i have a level 92 rogue with three followers 660+ ilvl and neither mission has shown up over quite a few weeks now. I do get 645 ilvl gear occassionally (requires 100 to use them though).
You seem to no longer need any raid progress for this mission to appear.
