World of Warcraft Q&A host Scott Johnson cooked up the idea with Chris Metzen:
Thrall? You talking about Thrall? I'm going to guess, I will surmise there may very well be a job posting up soon on the Orgimmar war board looking for a new Warchief. I don't know, it might happen. And If there is, we'll call you.
These are my favorite kind of questions--that I can't answer. Well the story is not done. And there's much left to discover, to explore. I will say this...If I were Sylvanas and looking at what Garrosh had wrought across the world, I'd probably think "Garrosh was an amateur."
The loyal Horde may decide to reappoint Thrall as Warchief, but the threat of Sylvanas and her quest for Undeath remains. The Old Gods also always seek to divide the factions, to hopefully weaken us in our battles with them. However, with the Alliance and Saurfang's followers possibly working together in unusual ways, don't underestimate the power of combined forces.
Xal'atath whispers: This conflict is but a shadow of an ancient war that predated the meddling of the titans. Infinite armies clashed in ceaseless battle. But I'm sure your little war is impressive... in its own way. Xal'atath whispers: Oh! You've gathered quite the group of followers. It is fortunate they are focused on this incursion and not the true war. The scope of it might destroy your minds.
