As a pet collector, that's really upsetting :(

Well that's balls. Argh.
Not seeing a problem here, the puppy-men are jerks who don't deserve the fun of being taken around Northrend by a caring adventurer. And everyone helped out the Oracle Hatchling last year, right? RIGHT?
I want my Wolvar pup!
Urg, that's retarded. I was really looking forward to my puppy-man..
That's disappointing - maybe Blizz should have dealt with the problem before it became a problem - though that was never one of their strong points
Soo lame, i wanted to get a three pets this year. oh well. two kool pets is more then enough.
So they know it's an issue, but there's no way to fix it in the TWO WEEKS of children's week this year?I wonder if it's because anyone who completed it on day one would get to do it over again and they dont want people getting both pets the same year. Hmmm...STILL, they should have checked this before releasing the children's week event, it's really stupid that every other CW event is repeatable each year, but you can't do the NR ones again until 2 years later.
One week last time i checked. I spoke to a GM on Friday night about it who said they were planning to push a fix during this week's maintenance, but i guess that either fell through or was made up.
Heh, kinda of their own fault for originally releasing the Northrend Orphans a few weeks after Children week, then left it up for almost a month.
Weird .. I'm pretty sure I did this quest chain last year .. and I know I did it this year because I was confused when I got the Oracle pet instead of one of the pets that went toward the Veteran Nanny achievement.
This sucks. As I've been working as a programmer way back, I can understand you can't fix anything in a whim of time but I must say I'm quite disappointed at Blizzard as they allways cam through on similar occasions in the past...
Chances are it's because they can't determine who completed the quest line this year and who completed it last year to do a partial data reset across the databases.
Honestly it's not that big of a deal... They are busy trying to do MANY other things to satisfy the greater percentage of players that would rather see more content. When you think about it, they may be doing you a favor because you'll have to play your toon for another year in order to get that pet you didn't choose when the northrend ones were introduced. Ergo, that much more money you're "donating" for the game to keep going strong :D
