Why are the people commenting so freaking stupid? :(
Personally, I dislike Mac OS AND Windows, favoring Linux. However, that doesn't mean I go around insulting Mac or Windows users.Grow up, all of you.

I always played WoW on Mac, and I never needed the pepair tool or restore from backup or reinstall. It is working perfect since patch 1.0.8.
Never had an issue with my WoW on my Macbook pro. That's probably why the tool never existed. lol. Also, people need to stop formulating their opinions of Macs based on hand-me-down school computers. Hand-me-down PCs are just as bad, stop kidding yourself.I have both a Mac and PC, but it irks me when people make such narrowminded comments.
Guys guys please.Let's leave the PC/Mac/Linux/AmigaOS/Whatever OS hate at the door okay. The best operating system is the one you have paid for and choose to use. All of them have their strengths and weakness. There is some things that one O/S does better then the other in your opinion. Different operating systems do things different ways. All of them can do what a user requires in some shape or form. Seriously all this operating system hate feels like people hating on people driving a particular brand of car or truck on the road. The user of it feels it's fine so don't hate over it :)
I noticed this when installing the new streaming client. At the time I noticed that in my "World of Warcraft Beta" folder was a "Repair.app.temp" folder being installed. As you know when it's installing the installer will name things with a .temp extension. .app is the file extension for application programs on the Mac.So I knew I was dealing with a possible Repair program for the Mac. AFAIK Repair.exe doesn't use any proprietary library code only found in Windows and Blizzard has a history of programming things cross platform so there really wasn't any reason not to. Radoslawn, a blue poster on the Mac tech support forums did make a hint that something like this would be coming.I did do a few google searchs on "Repair.app" and couldn't find any evidence of any other sites having. I could of emailed MMO champion over it but for once I wanted some other site to have the "scoop" before MMO champ or world of raids. I submitted it to wow.com but they didn't seem interested in running a story on it.So this is pretty much a world exclusive for Wowhead. Yes you heard it right ... wowhead had this first :)
oh yeah.To the beta testers reading this : The repair servers don't have the data for the patches yet and aren't online yet . So repairing won't work in beta yet!
