Well looks like i wont be able to use this new feature if the invite system goes ahead...

Even if I don't get in to fight.I will be usng some of the throwing Items >:D
After the first few days (if not sooner) the prices will begin to plummet, guaranteed.
Its confirmed that you can invite 10 players when you are in guild ?
All those things are waaaay lower at costs and can be easily archieved by most players, this is like 100k, I dont even had that much once in my life
What a joke. What could have been a potentially enjoyable feature is flushed down the drain. I am glad that my subscription runs out tomorrow.
I can easily see each guild having a representative that the guild gets money for so he can get in, same with small groups or single rich guys, then he hands out his invites to the rest of the guild.I would imagine my GM forcing him to wear both the tabard and the cloak, least till it gets really hard, just cuase.
I find it absurd that Blizzard makes it so that someone can get a "Realm First" as long as he/she has 500k+ Gold. Realm first should be pursuit able by everyone on the Realm, not only the 1%.
I just find it funny that people are like "It's going to cost 100,000 gold, it's going to be a million gold." I can think of very, very few people who would spend that kind of money on something that there will be 10 of every day. It's stupid- expensive items are expensive because of rarity, or time required to get them. These are going to be available 10 a day, which really equals 100 per day in terms of invites. I imagine that after the initial couple of high rollers grab theirs, the price will come down, and if it starts at 10k per, then after a couple of weeks, you will be getting them for 12-15k a pop, or 1,000-1,500 gold per person since it can be split 10 ways. 1000 gold, even 2000 gold is NOT an unreasonable entry fee for something like this. People need to stop being dramatic.EDIT: Also, I'd like to see what other word firsts, or realm firsts, the people have who are complaining about gold being required for this one. I would hazard a bet that they don't have any, because if they did they'd realize that most world first or realm first anything DO require either a significant investment in gold, or an amount of play time that most people don't have.World first professions- probably all had to buy mats at their highest price, when the expac was new. World first raids- definitely laid out large amounts of gold for gear, gems, enchants, potions, leveling professions immediately so they could have all raid buffs, etc. World first class had 24-36 hours to play, probably in the middle of a work week. This isn't anything new.
What you said is so true. Most players don't understand that all realm first require a lot of farm and planing. For example i bet all realm first level 90 did 5-10 level 90 chars on beta to find the fastest way to level up. Same for realm first 600 professions. As for realm first pandaren ambassador I had to do 2-3 hours of dailies everyday for one month and farm lots of keys to open chest in guo-lai. As for realm first raids you have to spend lots of gold for gear and stuff, then raid for over 10 hours w/o break . Same goes for realm first gold on challenge mode. So stop complaining.
I, on the other hand, find the amount of crying over this absurd. If someone is wealthy in WoW it is because he/she worked on that wealth by either farming, camping the ah, having an army of alts with maxed professions... all of which required time and work. It is the same as with raiding; you want to be good at it? Read on tactics, have good reflexes, anticipate, keybind,... So, why are you all crying about this addition and invites? The game has so much to offer, just enjoy it.
Being a hermit who spends gold like a drunken sailor, it doesn't seem likely I'll be participating in this. However, since people will be draining their coffers on the auction house invites as well as "tipping" (wink wink) other players for invites, perhaps they'll be as broke as me and I could actually stand a chance at getting something yummy from the Black Market AH. Better still, the whole thing would get nerfed, cost everyone 5 copper and the original players' heads would explode.
