This is too little, too late to stop the dwindling alliance population, at least alone. As to how it affects "non mythic" raiders, the answer is simple: those mythic raiders recruit from heroic raiders, they do pvp, they run causal content on alts, they do their daily heroic as a tank to get it done quickly, they put mythic items and crafted great into the AH, etc. These guilds are a large portion of the remaining community ties in a game where you phase into Dalaran and see random people from other servers sitting around everywhere.Regarding racials, the sad fact is BE is still going to be an overwhelming force in M+. This affects raiding because many high end pve players will want to similarly have challenge in M+, which means they will seek advantages. It may not be the deciding factor for most (I reckon that's ease of recruiting), but it still sways minds.Lastly, the allied races and other content. "Please Mr. Ion can we have orcs without green eyes we've wanted them forever!" Yes my favored Horde children! "Please Mr. Ion can we have high elves without green eyes we've wanted them forever!" Yes my favored Horde children! "But Mr. Ion, we're not horde, we're alliance and high elves are an alliance race!" Hahaha, for the Horde! But am I not charitable? Have a purple skin version!
It's funny they want to try to fix PvP ratings ... while leaving PvP uttery broken. I'd be shocked if participation is a fraction of what it was in MoP and WoD - there is literally no incentive to play and you have to get your good PvP gear by doing... PvE. I was working on my PvP gear set when I realized I hadn't PvP'd the entire expansion. Mission accomplished?
Damn, this is so hard to think about. For me, removing realm first will kill the thrill of the race. A separate achiev of realm first on horde / alli would be nice. Haha. A realm first + a hall of fame system could be great too, since it will give honor to the hardworking guilds that made it before the cut off time, especially the guilds with casual mythic raiders that are on low population. Maybe it would be nice to not remove realm first, and add cross realm mythic raids but won't be able to receive realm first, only hall of fame achiev. Yeah, someone said on previous comments, it is much nicer to race to top 20 of realm than 10k of world (if i remember correctly). Honestly, a small guild with a few members who knows each other and communicates with each other in different ways, not only WoW related topics, is much better than a realm first guild who has so many members that they even don't know who's logging in and out. It's so sad that people are hopping to several guilds because of wanting to clear mythic content. I guess not everyone remembers the essence of being in a "guild", i.e., what a guild was all about.Regarding PVP, I suggest to remove the standard template of stats but still keep the trinkets and tiers unusable. It would be really nice to "farm" some of your PVP set from PVE too as well as to think about how much haste mastery etc you really need in PVP. The only problem in here is that undergeared pvp-ier on new alt will have hard time getting gear on doing PVP. However, he/she may do m+ or raids, wq, etc to farm his/her pvp set. At least, he/she had "grinded" his gear before joining the competitive arena/rbg. Not all people likes sandwich every meal of everyday, we need to unwind and do some other contents. With the given template and if you're doing PVP all the time, you don't need to raid anymore nor do m+ for loots since stats has standard template. Please correct me if I am wrong! Thanks!PS. I have never thought that racial imbalance was a thing. Since then, I am thinking of the racial skills as a "bonus" skill since I have chosen this or that race. Some people choose a specific race because it's racial will "add" more dps. Nah, they should be choosing what they want to play and not because "this is more viable for our raid". HAHA. Maybe modifying racial features/models/choices (or racial skill) on the alliance side will slightly improve the imbalanced ratio so that alliance wouldn't shift to horde. :) tbh, features of races of horde is very diversified, alliance for me isn't since only worgen looks different. Haha!
I think the best solution its to remove racials for all, at least inside any instance, how istupid its force hardcore top guild players (or even casuals) to choose X race bcause the racial its best than Y, Imagine how many players are stuck in a Blood Elf and always wanted to main a Dwarf for instance.I know, they have a choice to not play the best race/class, but when you talk in something like world 1st, every 1% increase is significant.
If they want to do this properly they will need to either offer discounts or make transfers from Horde to Alliance free. It just won't happen otherwise, at least not on the level they would want in order to balance out the skewing...and I don't see Blizzard doing that, they love making money for nothing.
With pvp servers removed and this, i believe it´s season opened to more cross-realm between many servers. If we find two small servers, one (today) pvp and other pve, could be better put both crossed in a bigger server for all and then this new achievement system with more people in same cross-realm easily to do...But, for some players this could be worst, like south-american players. Because, blizzard don´t care about these players and they have to play in far away servers, with too much lag. As these serves are located at US, lag for these players is double or triple from US local players. So, remove realm achivement to world achievement will not be good nor fair for them. Local Us players has 50ms world delay, South American minimum 150ms world delay. Even if put Method players under these condition, they couldn´t get Hall of Fame against top players with 50 ms wordl delay.
I do like the idea, especially if it's aimed at MCR (Mythic Cross Realm). I'm curious about the title - one time reward for players who attended or usable by any who joins the guild after the kill. It doesn't matter to me, but I do like where this is going. I have Conqueror of Naxxramas myself. The title for HoF will be another nice incentive for those who wish to try and get it for their guild!
