That means I've been playing just over 12 years. Started during the last month of vanilla. Time flies.....
My favorite expansion by far. Outland has the best scenery and atmosphere in the game. Every zone is great, but Nagrand and Blade's Edge Mountains are masterpieces.
I can't speak too positively about TBC because it quite simply killed raiding on my low-pop server. We had a thriving scene pre-TBC, sure, only a couple of guilds got deep into Naxx (not sure any cleared it) but heaps of guilds got somewhere. Then TBC landed and ramped up 25-man difficulty to the point where everyone did Gruul and then flamed out. The addition of Black Temple and Sunwell were irrelevant because everyone had given up after failing at SSC and TK. It was "Karazhan or nothing", until WotLK arrived and gave us raids with multiple difficulties.
Ah BC... when the game went down for three days haha
Flying Mounts: Players take over the skies in Outland with all new mounts capable of flight, available after you reach the new level cap.Sadly those days are gone.
Another great sign of when Blizzard was great.Q: When will the expansion be released? How much will it cost?A: We have not yet announced a release date for the expansion set. They never rush a product out till it was polished. Unlike today's crap they try to shove down our throats.
Can't imagine BC would have been enjoyed at all by today's crowd. Imagine having to go through all those complex attunements, dungeon runs (without a queue button), and quest-lines that took an insane amount of time just to be able to enter a dungeon or raid? No group finder, no dungeon finder, no cross-realm grouping, no tools to make anything easier (aside from the BC "group-finder" which wasn't really a useful tool). And there was nothing to help alts out - it took the same amount of time and effort on each toon you wanted to play. And not being able to progress in raiding without doing the old raids? Today's playerbase would have absolutely hated BC.
Indeed the good old days :)but I still hate it that the last two week we did the speed runs for the bear it was bugged and no one in the guild got it on multiple runs :(GM just responded with "Well new patch next week.. guess the devs are anxious to start. sorry. "
A lot of nostalgia... I miss these good old times so much but better to realise that the game will never be the same.
I was 7 when i was playing my night elf druid trying to figure out how to find the entrance to the black temple, or as i liked to call it at the time: " boss meanie's castle"
Stop making me feel old please :'(
Can’t really be 12 years, tbc was like 4 years ago :(
