"Actual rares with long spawn times are making a return in Mechagon, which gives even more of an incentive to grind."Apart from no information on improvements to island rewards this is the most disappointing part of the patch for me.You could get just as much "incentive to grind" by making all the "rare" rares simply require large amounts of currency to spawn. That way they are both rare and are actively prompted by the player.Long spawn timers are less an incentive to grind than they are an incentive to fly above their spawn point while playing another game or doing something else entirely.
So what about those of us that earned our waterstrider from Nat Pagle in our garrison collecting tons of Nat’s Lucky coins? I spent hundreds of hours fishing to get Nat to best friend and collecting those coins need to buy waterstrider from him. Are we to going to get same deal those that have exalted with Anglers get and able to buy equipment from Nat in our garrison or are we going to get shafted?
Personally I think this all sounds pretty sick. I like the idea that mounts are becoming more "skins" than having individual special powers. While I get that some people dont like the change, I'm personally sick of seeing a water strider every three feet in Pandaria, Draenor, and Kul'Tiras. And I doubt Blizzard would go further and make a "Get this item to use mounts" zone, but to be honest, if it makes the zones fresher and more interesting, I'm cool with it.As a whole I'm excited to see where 8.2 is headed, and I hope it fixes some of BfA's unfortunate issues (Island Expeditions being worthless?)
So as stated in the opening couple of minutes, we can now blame streamers for in game problems thanks to the "round table development discussions"? Well played Ion, well played indeed!
To Neryssa, blue post states only those with Anglers rep so like me and many others who have not done anything with Anglers we will lose our water walking ability from our Nat Pagle strider and get nothing in return.
