This is Blizzard trying in vain to force players to value the leveling experience when Blizzard themselves can’t be bothered to fix the system. Yes, the most current Expansion content should never be trivial (2 hours seems unreasonably fast to me) but allowing leveling via Island Expeditions was a bad design choice to begin with. It’s not that they couldn’t have allowed it in some way, but the amount of XP is crazy. If you’re rested you can gain a level with barely more than 2 Expeditions. It’s so much faster than questing that it’s hard to imagine why anyone would quest unless they haven’t done the zones before.
Yesterday, I was playing with my friend, who came back WoW a month ago, and we were eager to try this 'party sync' system together. He is level 68, I'm level 87. So, after hours of questing together in Outland, we realised this negative buff effect on him, and I felt really bad that I held him back, and that he would have leveled up much more without me. 😢 He doesn't wish me to play with him like this. And I still wish to play through every expansion without over leveling them. So. This stuff Blizzard has made, ruined mine and my friend gameplay. I just don't see why? How is this cheating? With party sync, I was downscaled to level 80. It's not cheating. 'World of WarCraft meant to play TOGETHER' 👈 Quote from the dev team.
