You know what? I'm okay with this. Give me a "World of Peacecraft," even for just one expansion.I don't mean doing away with factions (though I'd be okay - in terms of game mechanics - with grouping with friends cross-faction for PvE content)...in fact, let a peacetime expansion focus on the factions themselves, becoming more faction-centric, if anything.Think about it:
To all those decrying the end of the Horde: Bye. Have fun playing classic and Warcraft III.To all those thinking that a Horde council will be one big lovefest: Have you ever tried to get a committee to focus on a single decision? To all those thinking that WoW is going to become World of Peacecraft: Do you really think Blizzard is going to wrap up the entire Old God/Void storyline in one patch?...Well, they might, and that would be dumb when they have the material for an entire expansion. Which would definitely NOT be peaceful.
Blizzard should look at WoWPedia sometime. Vol'jin has multiple children, with Yenniku, a fully-grown adult male troll in Stranglethorn being mentioned as his "youngest son," meaning he has more, including some who should be full-grown adults, old enough to be pretty competent, likely enough to be leaders, being the chieftain's son. Heck, they should've just said Zappy Boi was Vol'jin's son. He's got red hair, after all. I'd rather see someone with any kind of character development be the leader than Rokhan just because he was literally the only other Darkspear troll Blizzard could remember. Also, I wonder if Blizzard would remember that they have no problem with interracial (as in WoW's definition of races being more like species) couples long enough to let a non-human get together with an elf? Lor'themar and Thalyssra would be interesting, if they're not gonna do Lor'themar with Liadrin. Also, Thrall turning down being the leader yet again just goes to show how Blizzard still haven't learned from "You think you do, but you don't." Just give us back THRALL, and let Go'el die painfully.
Wasn't the Horde ALREADY led by a council of racial leaders, with one taking the front as Warchief? You know, the kind of system where Vol'jin's Darkspear Rebellion was completely legal, or that Saurfang waited far, FAR too long to challenge Mak'gora? A system that only worked when the other racial leaders remembered to put the proper pressure on the Warchief to act properly? No? Okay.It doesn't matter much anyway. Give Talanji just a bit more screen time and experience, unhook her from being bound to Bwonsamdi, and she's literally the perfect Warchief: Young, strong, wise beyond her years, idealistic but not stupid, HONORABLE, and capable of managing multiple distinct powers to work together.
Why is no one pointing out the Lor'themar Thalyssra ship lOL
Lor'themar and Thalyssra better make some damn babies or I'll riot.
Lor'themar x Thalyssra!
I like this. So many problems with the Horde have started with its Warchief. A council, representing all the Horde races, is much more ideal.I also like that bit of dialogue between Lor'themar and Thalyssra. It's humanizing, though I appreciate that word doesn't really make much sense in a world full of different races.
Kinda on the fence about this, only problems i have with this are 1.) what will happen to the title of "Warchief", in the whole history of the old and new horde the title of "Warchief" has held the highest significance, are they just ditching the title entirely or are all the council members gaining the title or what? and 2.) what is happening to the Warchiefs skull of Mannaroth throne? will all the leaders of the horde just huddle around it but no one will actively use it or what? id love the idea of converting it into a shrine of all the fallen Horde leaders ie Ogrim, Grommash, Cairne, Senjin, Voljin, and Saurfang
LoLI predicted such a thing like 11 months ago and I have a proof of it.
Wait, what? Lor'themar & Thalyssra?
Finally, no more "ME HORDE ME SMASH" nonsense. The Horde has always been intelligent, not brutes, and they're finally realizing that two of their warchiefs have now gone mad with power, and it's time to end the cycle. About the only thing that has made sense this expansion.
Lol. That last section of Lor'themar & Thalyssra. Nice.
