I hope this makes the leveling process a lot simpler for new players. I felt really confused and it wasn't clear to me when I first started.
This is a huge, amazing update! I'm super curious to see how it plays out. Exile's Reach reminds me of Runescape's Tutorial Island. Streamlining the experience will minimize the barrier to entry for new players, which is good, but I'll miss the unique starting zones for each race. I didn't expect new players to level through the latest content first. It does seem like a good idea to show new players the latest and greatest content, though.
Well, looks like I'll be leveling some alts.
This is good for past expansion story and new coming people aand altoholics :)
but "who is the current Horde Warchief?"..
Exile looks interesting ! And I am so excited too actually !I’ll go there for sure ! Nice
Certainly this would make us happy, as leveling an alt or alliance race will be much faster... But I fear soloing raids in previous expansions will be much harder.I dont feel that would help 'new player' to know the lore by skipping quests and expansions, if there are any new players at all...The reason new player don't know who is warchief and other major lore is because they skip quests and much of the storyline are in legacy dungeons and raids that nobody would queue for it now. Timewalking only have a few dungeons available, but not all. Solo raid finder & scenarios (storytellers) are pretty much hidden with some of the boss arn't quite easily soloable for some class.
Quick leveling! Nice!
I am skeptical, but will try to remain cautiously optimistic. If nothing else, it will solve the problem of newer players not experiencing past storylines - just run alts through different expansions. I mean... it's definitely geared towards newer players, not those of us who have been around since vanilla.
As much as leveling faster could be good ... it feels a bit like taking the RPG out of the MMORPG .... Not having that leveling experiance to get into the lore and store of the game kinda makes it loose something of what many people fell in love with when they started the game.
