I really hope we get to redeem him. He really just wanted what was best for his people, and was dealt a really bad hand, and we were forced to deal with him. I know Lor'themar is a great leader, but it would be fantastic to see Kael'thas return, maybe only temporarily, to tell Lor'themar he is doing a great job, and possibly name him King of Quel'Thelas, legitimizing him or something. The Blood Elves deserve some story progress and closure on that end.
Magisters' Terrace was merely a setback!
I wish they found a good media to introduce new and exciting character rather than having to use the same for 15 years. A side game even a point and click idk ...
Why do i get the feeling with the line flawed and prideful souls that we are going to be seeing garrosh there
Don't look so smug, I know what you're thinking. But the Magister's Terrace was merely a setback!
I have to wonder, if his constant return/ "Merely a setback!" thing hadn't become such a meme, would they have brought him back? But honestly I'm glad to see him again and echoing what others have said, I'd like to see him redeemed and maybe get some final closure for the Blood Elves - both from a storyline and an in-character perspective.
Dying was merely a setback! Twice! Lol. Really, Blizz, can't think of anyone else to use so you bring back one boss for the third time to fight, again? Go figure we are supposedly freeing(saving) them as we fight them or fight someone else to free them. How many times does that make now? I lost count, lol. What's next? We gonna fight Deathwing or Arthas again? Lmao
Illidan and Kael'thas were the 2 characters I always wanted to be brought back and redeemed. We finally gave Illidan the redemption and story he deserved in Legion, and I'm very glad to see Kael possibly getting a similar treatment in Shadowlands.
Garrosh was definitely flawed and prideful...but I don't think he ever saw himself as being wrong, so I don't think we'd see him trying to "atone" for anything. He'd probably either be in the Maw as truly damned or elsewhere because he was wrong, but truly believed in his cause. That being said, since he died on Draenor, not Azeroth...and an alternate Draenor at that...we probably won't see him at all.Buuut with how writing seems to be fairly unpredictable right now...I could very well be wrong.
Putting a stake in the ground (pun intended) and saying:Kael'thas becomes the NEW lord of the Venthyr Covenant as his redemption arc.
If the Shadowland act as the same as the twisting nether (which mean it's not affected by time or alternate universe) that could also mean that all other realm work the same. Why would it have an alternate universe of a non-mortal realm ?Is Time the prison Sylvanas talk about ? Cause tell me if I'm wrong but the notion of time only apply on mortal realm.
I sincerely hope he gets his redemption story. Maybe even escapes the Shadowlands with us in the end and gets to earn the trust and love of his people once again so that he may lead them. Kael's story was treated poorly IMO, such an awesome character deserves a better ending.
Like... wasn't he always corrupted?
