Well, this whole approach of the afterlife is the first time since ages where I saw Blizzard do some good lore writing. And knowing that they've made other portals just makes me even more excited about the whole thing.I'm waiting for the hunter afterlife which should be something close to the hunting grounds from Hircine.
Im not surprise. He was a paladin of the silver hand.
Xandria: such trifling powersXavius: corrupts half the Shadowlands' sister plane with a little bit of void energyXandria: wait, that's illegal
Bastion is the worst place everyone can go in shadowlands. Those blue slavers purge people from everything it make them their self's and i hope that place will never recover after that expansion
Does Blizzard really think all this is going to distract people from the fact Bastion is literally a brainwashing cult? It's just...I see what they're trying to do. It's a good idea, wanting to tell people that sometimes they can shed their pain and become someone new. But whole thing where they don't get a choice in the matter ruins it. The whole thing where all the people opposing it are portrayed as the bad guys ruins it. I'm having trouble wording this, but people can shed their burdens and become someone new WITHOUT having those memories wiped away. You can still remember the bad things, the trauma, the pain and still let them go. But somewhere along the way Blizzard forgot that. Or maybe they just don't care. It seems a lot of their writing since WoD has taken the easy route of "Because the plot says so" instead of the route that's more difficult to write but has the payoff of...y'know, making sense. I want to say maybe they will reveal Bastion and the Archon to be in the wrong, but with the way they're using the narrative itself to present it as a good thing and those opposing it as bad makes me doubt they will.
