There is a reason if twitch app only allowed to download addons from curse, and not from other platforms: because they weren't allowed to.
Here is a brief article from a wowinterface admin from 2008, explaining why the wowinterface app will never allow to download content from others sites:

For example, the cursebreaker app doesn't even show the author name of the addons, doesn't indicates from where the addon are downloaded, and doesn't provide any link or direct information to the original content.
If you want to support the addon creator, you simply can't.
Redistributing content that you don't own has a name: it's called stealing and is illegal.

You may not like the overwolf app, and if you're looking for, you may find alternatives.
But keep in mind that all those alternatives are illegal.
They are showing very little respect for the addon creators, or for the curse work.
They are just taking profit and advantage of this situation at the expense of others.

Up to you to trust and use those, but just be aware of their lack of morality.

I went and looked it up and found where the developer had posted he was "working on" a new app a month ago, found post in July/August time. I found it rather odd the amount of posts I was and have been seeing in regards to this wowup and its userbase. Not only has it been a short period for the app to have been around to have such passionate users but they all come and post on wowhead forums too...... seems sus.... Thanks for the explanation. I'm assuming Overwolf will try their best to make addon management at least as simple and accessible as it is on Twitch though, or else no-one would use it. Or are we talking about them making this a paid feature? What exactly are the issues people have with Overwolf?azek의 댓글Ajour's website crashed. It could be due to traffic.
Regardless, I have been using Cursebreaker and it is great.
It does everything I need it to.Dyspho의 댓글You won't find many older alternative for one simple reason : they are not welcome.
Addon managers usually leeched bandwidth and data from site like Curse, making profit at their depend.
They also are giving very like credit to addon developpers and work against the community.
Curse and wowinterface blocked those apps from accessing to their site several times by the past.
Addon manager tried to bypass that, rehosting addons, creating copies... and strongly breaching into copyright laws.

Addon managers are very often seen as parasites and not always legal.
If any of those become popular it's clear that curse and wowinterface will block them again.
