mages and warlocks will loose the most becaus they cant do 10 million dps and cast chaosbolts at a 0.2 second cast speed :P
It isn't so much that borrowed power sucks, but that BfA had...3 different borrowed power systems.. Azerite Armor, Essences, and Corruptions.. too much to manage.. it's easier if it was just 1 and only 1. If you're gonna power at least let it be something that can last the whole expansion.. no additions, no subtractions, no multipliers, or dividers.. 1 is enough.
suchs one more week when it was suppose be online already i play beta until this go live
Good riddance. I'd say hope we never see anything like this in the game ever again but we all know blizzard will eventually do something similar again.
Corruption is another concept that sounds good on paper but ultimately sucks for people who play the game extensively(playing alts, optimizing, playing different specs/roles) yet, good for people who don't or just don't care.
Is there any currency conversion for echoes when they go away?
Will there be any nice farewell quest for our hearth of azeroth, like in legion for our artifacts, or we just gonna trash it during a lvl55 quest?
Sucks? Yeah, all this 'borrowed power' system is crap in the way it's developed, making the characters so dependant on them. I think a more suitable approach for us 'leaving tem' would be, instead of them being removed on next prepatch, to be more of a staggered removal over the end of their current expansion, maintaining somehow the player's power. But this is just me, although the transitions into the next expansions would feel a bit smoother than what they have now.
I like the ‘borrowed power’ system, because previously the ‘borrowed power’ was baked into new spells and talents that still changed every expansion. People seem to forget this. I like the fact my base class has hardly changed over 3 expansions. I love the way my character plays and always enjoy playing with a new, themed system layered over the class I love. Some people can’t handle things being taken away, but that’s okay. New things will take their place. It also allows Blizzard to try new systems like Corruption, which I’ve quite liked as a one off.
About time. Everything died so fast that this didn't feel like an MMORPG, but an ARPG.
Say what you will, but I liked all these positive corruptions, especially the ones with haste. It was fun to build upon my character's build some more with this system.
Luckily, having personally tested Frost DK on the BETA, icecap is still better than oblit run up until you unlock rank 2 KM, so if you invested in Icecap, don't worry, you're not screwed over entirely. Yes, your haste is slow down significantly, however you still do better than oblit until KM rank 2. Just make sure you have the gear and not just corruption reliant. If your ilvl is lower than 465, expect significant power loss.I tested both oblit and icecap btw, and it took me 1/2 the time, as icecap, to get halfway through the levelling campaign (around halfway of Maldraxxus) so I think its clear enough sign icecap still better. However, I doubt you will want to swap to oblit straight off. Even when KM rank 2 unlocks, your stats are spread out across 3 2ndaries so oblit straight off after unlock might not be a good idea. Best to stay icecap till you get more Crit Mastery gear.
"Men on Wow" Hated it!
I looted a 3rd twilight devastation on a character without the cape a couple of days ago, now I die on WQs and in random heroic dungeons with two eye spawns in a row complimented by the speed debuff, and I am a healer. This system is so weird.
I really wont miss corruption. I want my abilities, weapons and trinkets to do things. Anyway that wont last long since SL will be probably the very similar things with lots of systems on top of systems.
