I've tried to get that dumb bag since the beginning of pre-patch, but no luck thus far...
The default UI only allows for summoning a random "favorite"ed mount by macro'ing that button into your action bar, but grouping them into custom lists is the forte of addons. Have you taken a look at LiteMount? I only have it set up for two lists, "any favorite allowed" and "non-flying favorite". But you can make any kind of selection list you like.
This. To just be able to filter them by flying and non flying would be great. I know there is an add on for pets that has tons of filters (Rematch), but until this moment I never thought to check to see if there is a mount equivalent.

Damn.. Didn't realize the vendors disappeared an hour early. I guess I should read more... Just logged on and tried to buy the Toy, but noticed the vendors were gone, a little bit sad about that. I wish Blizz could have announced this stuff in game somehow. Since it is part of the game. Like a timer for the Vendors or something would be nice.
This was my first pre-patch so I was unaware it ended an hour before, this sucks.
