This looks like the final quest towards the legendary dual daggers.

As of 9.11.11 the PTR does not currently show the Fangs of the Father but it shows the fragment of Deathwing's jaw.

He can no longer eat souls... Oh wait, that was the Lich Queen?

I'm willing to bet big money this quest line will be much easier than the caster quest line. The reason for this is that they try to increase the rogue population with this and not punish it.

Unlike some other legendary pairs *the warglaives* *cough*, these two come together. What is more aggravating than killing Illidan 30 times only to get the left one twice. What a bummer.

At least blizz solved that problem with the quest, which gives both, how convenient.

When I finally get these I'm going to put pure stamina gems in them, reforge to spirit, enchant them with Power Torrent and link them in trade.

After you turn in 송곳니를 다듬고, a little dialogue happens between Fahrad and Wrathion as follows.

Fahrad says: Don't trust this one, your highness - no one is that good.
Wrathion says: There's no need to worry, Fahrad. This next mission is ... quite likely ... suicide.
Wrathion says: Don't underestimate my father. Even if you were to crush his body, the core of his madness and rage will still struggle to destroy you.
Wrathion says: He will not be defeated until he is utterly annhilated.
Wrathion says: I wish I could help but... my father is the one dragon I fear.
Wrathion says: Best of luck, rogue. Whatever the outcome, you are truly a champion.

And after you kill Deathwing and loot 데스윙의 턱 조각 and return to Ravenholdt, a little cinematic takes place with the following transcribed dialogue.

Wrathion says: Champion, you have your reward. But there is one final dragon we need to slay.
Fahrad says: My prince, we should leave this place. In case they come back to finish the job.
Wrathion says: Farhad! I was just talking about you. The final Black Dragon. The one who's been more hidden than any of them.
Fahrad says: Your highness, I have never tried to conceal what I am from you.
Wrathion says: Yes. You rescued me while I was still within my egg, and I owe you my life.
Wrathion says: But you are a Black Dragon. And you share the corruption of all my brothers and sisters.
Fahrad yells: That's - not true!
Wrathion says: Do you deny it? The dark visions? The voices in your head?
Fahrad says: No. No! I'm in control of the voices. They're there to help me.
Wrathion says: And what are they telling you now, Fahrad? What do your dark masters whisper?
Fahrad says: Kill.... they want me to kill you now... oh, why did you have to go and anger them?
Fahrad yells: You have proven too difficult to control!
Wrathion yells: I will NEVER be controlled! The Red Dragonflight has no idea what they unleashed when they experimented on my egg.
Wrathion says: Hero... strike now! Use your newfound power to FINISH HIM.
Wrathion says: It is done, friend. To my knowledge, I am the only black dragon who remains.
Wrathion says: A new age for mortals has dawned, and heroes like you are among the vanguard.
Wrathion says: I must go now - disappear.
Wrathion says: Perhaps we will meet again. I hope we find ourselves on the same side...

I just finished this quest last night, after waiting through a week of progression to get the final Deathwing kill (I had enough clusters since Yor'Sahj). So there I am jumping platforms to the last limb tentacle and sure enough it has one of those random bug-outs and I fall and die. This hasn't happened to me since the first week of DS but sure enough on this one particular night...

So I sit there dead the rest of the fight, guessing that I should still be able to loot the jaw fragment (I figured it would just be normal quest loot in the cache but couldn't confirm it). And then when he finally died the cutscene starts and WoW crashed - which very rarely happens to me but sure enough on this one particular night...

So I'm restarting WoW and lucky me, tonight's the night Blizzard released some kind of hotfix which requires a little download before you can log back in, and this just happened to go in AFTER I log in for the night but BEFORE I could get back in and get my fragment. Perfect timing. So there I am waiting for it to download and beating my head against the desk.

I log in, click my character and... stuck on "success". Yep it's that wonderful glitch that requires a complete reset/modem & router reset or something. So I reboot PC, reboot my combo router, reload the game, log back in and FINALLY loot the goddamn fragment. Oh and during all this my microphone kept cutting out so I couldn't even talk to my guildies.

So yeah, if it's useful info to anyone: the fragment does persist in the chest (my RL left one of those crafting mats in the chest just in case it despawned though) even if you get DCed and have to spend freaking forever getting back in. It's strictly quest loot, invisible to everyone but the person on the quest (unlike the gem clusters the RL can't see or distribute it).

I swear the game was griefing me :(

It will take you approximately 16 weeks to complete this entire quest line, assuming that you are doing full clears every week and are not competing with another rogue.

The first week, you will pick pocket Hag. The followup quests will take a minimum of 13 hours. 12 to charge the ring, 1 to do the rest.

Next, you'll need the 333 gems. If the average is 6 gems per cluster, you will need 56 clusters in order to do the turn in. That means that at 8 clusters a week, it will take you 7 weeks to collect all of the shadowy gems you need for the second phase of the daggers.

Note that the Sharpening Your Fangs quest requires 60 Shadowy Gem Clusters not 60 Shadowy Gems. ~~That means when people are talking about your "leftovers" going towards your total in the end, that's wrong.~~ That means your "leftovers" are the intact clusters you loot from bosses. You're now looking at another 60 bosses total that you need to clear before you'll have enough clusters. That will take another 8 weeks.

1 Week for PP and Phase 1 daggers
7 Weeks (on average, could be longer or shorter depending on RNG) for Phase 2 daggers.
8 Weeks for Phase 3 daggers.

It has been my experience that people don't realize they are being required to provide the Clusters ,and not the Gems, for the second part of the quest. I posted the comment in part because of how many times I've explained this to people and because I watched a rogue who already had the P2 daggers open 6 clusters and then ask to take a 20 minute break so he could get to the final part of the quest before we killed Deathwing. HIS understanding (and many other's understanding) was that his "leftovers" were the gems, not the clusters. The post is meant to help for clarification and approximation of completion time only. That is, I'm not saying this WILL take you 16 weeks and that while YOUR understanding of "leftovers" is correct, many people don't have that same understanding. I even edited the above comment for you.

Just watched the video on Youtube, since I don't have a max level rogue and probably won't for quite a while.

Pretty awesome, but I lost it when Wrathion turned into an adorable little whelp and flapped off.

sad thing i will get my daggers this weekend, but i will use only 1/2 cuz for combat daggers are not enuf even with this bonus MH with axe, sword, mace is better, in this case @ moment there gonna be DW axe, cuz bonus not so great for dps increase for combat rogues.

After completing all the previous quest requirements, my group went in tonight and we killed Deathwing. I was master-looter so I passed all the other loot out to the respective winners then attempted to loot the Jaw. "You cannot loot that now" Zoned out of the instance and came back to try again ... "You cannot loot that now".

Ticket Submitted - 2 day, 5 hour wait time for a response.

does anyone know if its possible to do this if your rogue is over 85? i left the game for a while and just came back made 2 lvls before i realized i hadn't finished this quest :(

I finished this quest tonight. It can be done with a 10 man normal group to get the jaw off Deathwing. Also I got disconnected half way through the fight and logged back on after Deathwing was dead, but the loot roll was still going on, and I was still able to loot the jaw off of the corpse.

I'll fully admit we rogues get a bad rep.

Those shiny spellcasters - the druids, the priests, mages, warlocks - they helped extinguish Ragnaros' rain of terror, their names declared by the Blue Dragonflight above Stormwind and Orgrimmar, bearers of Tarecgosa's legacy.

The heroes who helped Wrathion in Pandaria, slaying Sha upon Sha and putting an end to the last gasp of one of the Old Ones, immortalized upon the arches of Mogu'shan Palace, long after its plundering and the breaking of the great siege.

The doughty plate-clad fighters, wielders of power of holy, unholy, and sheer brawn, bore Shadowmourne from its origin of Arthas' long-abandoned weapon, became glorified and exalted amongst both Alliance and Horde.

Those are the guys you remember, with their legacies of fame and fortune. We don't have such a flashy proof - no azure whelps following us around, no brilliant wings of multicoloured light, no screaming of souls or thunderous judgment of the storm - but we did our jobs anyway. Quietly. Over time, again and again, a well-positioned blade in the dark where one was needed, just so.

Even dragons die, after all.

If you are lucky like me, to get 송곳니를 다듬고 done at the Warmaster or before so you still can complete 죄 많은 아버지 in the same week, you might encounter a problem if you play on 10 man HC. As you are about to enter the Spine of Deathwing, the encounter might not start and you will have to change the difficulty to normal before you can proceed.

When I completed this quest just before the launch of Legion, I didn't have credit for The Sleeper or The Dreamer as a quest objective. Nonetheless, everything worked as intended when I arrived at Ravenholdt and I completed the quest.

So don't be like me and spend 10 minutes logging on and off, putting the daggers in and out of void storage, etc - just go turn it in :)
